DUSTY FINGERS

We came up with the idea of Dusty Fingers approx 18 months ago. We decided we wanted to start something a little different, something personal but at the same time, something for everyone.

The idea of genre specific music compilations, brought together by some of our favourite DJs and producers. To accompany the music will be track notes, written by the host, explaining why each track was chosen, and what it means to them personally. This will be printable, so you can keep a copy to go along with the music should you decide to download and burn onto a CD.

Over time we aim to cover most genres of music, not just dance music, but everything from classical to punk to jazz to hip hop and all spaces in between. This little project has been a long time in the making, and so now it's begun, we hope you grow to enjoy it.

PART 2

NOEL ASHLEY presents – REGGAEDUB

This whole idea of genres and notes came from Noel. It was in the summer of 2005 that the idea of a dub compilation popped up, and Nozza has been working away on ideas for it ever since. It's hard to express how much admiration and respect we have for Noel, as a DJ, record collector, musical oracle and all round friend. We've been waiting with anticipation for this compilation for over two years, and finally now i can say, Noel......DUB IT UP.

BILL BREWSTER presents – PUNK

We first contacted Bill about doing a punk compilation, back at the start of 2006. Thankfully he agreed, and now we can offer you the outcome. This is the first part of the dusty fingers series, and we hope you'll agree, a fantastic introduction to the punk movement.
